Imagine you are ten years old and it’s Valentine’s Day! You are excited to go to school today because you know that a class party awaits where you and your friends will be exchanging cards and candy. This is LITERALLY the sweet life! Now imagine you are a child with a serious health condition that prevents you from going to a traditional school and requires staying in a hospital for longterm care. How different do you think Valentine’s Day will be for you? How different do you think your entire childhood will be?

The Kennedy Krieger Institute has medical and educational facilities that bring health and happiness to children in need. Here at the DeLaney Lowe Home Team, we were fortunate enough to host our second annual Create and Sip event where we made Valentine’s Day cards for the children at Kennedy Krieger. We were surrounded by so much love and support! We delivered the cards yesterday and are excited to know that we have helped spread some excitement and love this Valentine’s Day.
