LOVE-ly Stay-at-HOME Date Night Ideas
Whether you’re saving up to buy a home or you just purchased the home of your dreams and are adjusting to a new budget, there are so many great ways to spend time with your Valentine at HOME!
Here are some awesome ideas to get your creative juices started…
- Make a three-course meal together. One of you be in charge of the menu and the other in charge of wine pairings. Or each of you pick a part of the meal and enjoy being surprised by the other’s choices. Or play Recipe Roulette and see what happens!
- Pretend the electricity is out and eat take-out by candlelight. Unplug for the rest of the evening and see where the conversation goes.
- Each of you write out your LOVE STORY including details about how you met and when you knew you were in love. Open a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates and read them to each other.
- Have a game night! Play board games, cards, do a puzzle together or set up mini golf in the living room. Be a kid again!
- Pitch a tent in the backyard or in the basement and go camping for the night. Picnic on the floor, make s’mores and tell ghost stories.
- Actually fill out that “Story of Us” book you got as a wedding gift or buy one and get ahead of the game if you’re still dating.
- Have a dance off! Each of you put together a play list, including your favorite slow tunes and dance songs. Turn on the music an let loose.
- Take a walk down memory lane. Get out every photo and photo album and cue up every video you have of the two of you together. Laugh and cry into the night.
- Watch a concert from your living room together and don’t leave out singing, holding hands and dancing!
